Ardiendo is a unique combination of two of the greatest Carthusian Andalusian Stallions in America. His sire is the legendary Escamillo - who is a legendary sire of champions including IALHA Triple crown champion Brioso MA. His dam is the grandaughter of Sandokan who is a national champion himself and has also sired numerous Multi National Champions in both US & Canada. VA Ardiendo dam Manolete’s Ysabela won National Champion Gold Movement winner multiple times (among other titles), right up until the year prior to Ardiendo’s birth in 2017.

Ardiendo’s pedigree has set him up for the upmost success. He is an authentic carthusian Andalusian, with correct PRE confirmation that ensures that high levels of collection and agility come naturally. He is well muscled, with an elegant baroque neck perfectly set into huge shoulders. He has a deep, relaxed flowy walk; with big knee action in the trot and a natural ability to collection and extend. Even more notable is his agility at the canter. His canter is incredibly balanced, collected and uphill. He has a gorgeous head with big beautiful PRE eyes and long thick mane and tail.

He is an exceptionally well tempered, gentle soul who adores cuddles and attention. He is a gentleman and treats mares with the upmost respect; and is a kind, protective leader when he helps raise his foals.

Ardiendo has been extensively trained with positive reinforcement his entire life, and is advanced in ground work both in hand and at liberty. He is thoughtful, expressive, and very eager to learn. He is sensitive to the lightest aids, and can collect and move into self carriage completely at liberty. Photographers love him for his expressive movements, host of tricks, and ability to pose for photos at liberty.

Though he’s only just begun his more formal riding career; he is as quiet as an old school horse under saddle and is totally safe to pony children. What is even more impressive though is thanks to his advanced liberty work and years of extensive schooling from the ground; he has already begun offering highly collected movements at walk, trot, and canter under saddle.

Dam - VA Manoletes Ysabela (Mystics Manolete x VMF Valencia)

Ysabela is a 2010 National Champion PRE grey Andalusian mare. Her dam is our multi-national Champion mare VMF Valencia and her sire was our multi-national Champion stallion, Mystique’s Manolete. Ysabela did very well at the 2016 National Show winning the coveted title of National Champion Andalusian Best Movement in a class of 15 horses.  She was also Reserve National Champion Andalusian Sr Mare (a close second to her sister VA Manolete’s Triana who won) In 2011, Ysabela was the National Champion filly, 1 year and under and Reserve National Champion Filly, 2 and under. In both of these classes she was also the Gold Medal Movement winner. This girl is a real mover and an outstanding dressage prospect. In 2017 we had Ysabela in a Juan Manuel Muñoz Diaz clinic and he said that Ysabela had the best walk he had ever seen on an Andalusian ever, and was very impressed with her trot and canter.
